St. Erik’s brewery felt that your everyday potato chips are not luxurious enough for the premium and craft beer in the market these days. They recently launched (and immediately sold out) high-end chips that are said to fully complement their beer. You may expect to get a big bag of chips but turns out, the chips will arrive in a box of 5 individual chips with a price of $55.
These high-end chips are not like any other chips you find in the market. The reason for such a high price tag is due to its rare Nordic ingredients added into each handmade chip created by chef Pi Le. These ingredients include matsutake mushrooms, truffle seaweed, India Pale Ale wort, dill, onion, and Ammärnas-region almond potatoes which are only grown on a certain hillside in a certain dirt. 100 boxes were made and sold out quickly.
